Role
New Majority Capital Foundation seeks a highly capable and adaptable Program Coordinator (PC), a newly created position to facilitate our national expansion. The Program Coordinator will work to create cohesion and successful adminsistration of NMCF initiatives throughout our target cities. The Program Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring successful execution of the foundation’s mission. The Program Coordinator must have reliable transportation and is expected to travel occasionally for Foundation events. Preference given for applicants in the Greater Boston area.
Reporting Relationship
The Program Coordinator reports to the Program Manager & Director.
Responsibilities
The Program Coordinator will be responsible for providing administrative support to team members throughout the planning and implementation of NMCF programming.
Duties include, but are not limited to: Assisting in the planning and managing of program events, communicating between program participants and managerial staff, assisting with program schedule updates, and acting as a liaison between different departments of the organization.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

Assisting in the planning and overseeing of significant events

Making reservations and booking flights for various off-site business meetings

Preparing documentation for grants

Managing online class resources (Zoom, CANVAS)

Processing payments for vendors and suppliers

Maintaining office calendars and sending out reminders of impending appointments

Reserving equipment and conference rooms for presentations and in-office meetings

Proofreading and making copies of documents
-
Relaying internal emails to staff

Managing the Program Manager’s calendar

Attending staff meetings and taking minutes
-
Compiling and sending bulk mailings
-
Typing letters and reports may be required from time to time.

Administrative: Order and organize supplies and printed materials for classroom/event use, assist with local storage of curriculum material management, submit purchase orders and processing invoice payments, assist Site Team with all program events and classes (in-persona and virtual) which includes but is not limited to organizing and planning menus and facilitating logistics, A/V, and material distribution within budget (in consultation with Site Team)

Facilitation: Assist with managing the learning management system (LMS) where program materials are posted and participant communications take place, support Site Team with the recruitment of panelists and/or guest speakers as needed, assist faculty members during classroom sessions by maintaining attendance, recording sessions, managing participation, and collecting participant evaluations after each session

Recruitment: Work along the Program Manager to schedule, manage, interview, collect, and process application materials

Ability to assist with management of multiple functions within an organization, including administration, communications, and event planning related tasks

Proven ability to work in a diverse team environment and manage multiples tasks efficiently and effectively

Flexibility and adaptability in changing environments

Digital native - comfort in using/ability to learn a variety of software/technology tools including but not limited to Microsoft Office suite, Canva, Calendly, Adobe, Canvas, Mailchimp, and others
Compensation
This is a 1099 position. The hourly pay for this position is $25/hour. NMCF employees are paid monthly, on the first calendar day of the month. This position will start at 20 hours per week.
Work Location
NMCF is a remote-first organization. This position is remote with the exception of mandatory in-person days before, during, and immediately after each accelerator cohort is onboarded in addition to team offsites and all-hands meetings. The Program Coordinator must have reliable transportation for local travel. Travel will be reimbursed and is expected for the following:
